Indian Handicrafts - Indian Marble Handicrafts
India had developed her own peculiar art
and her master craft-men's work flourished remarkably under court
patronage and private munificence. The remains of ancient buildings
bear eloquent testimony to the artistic skill of Rajasthani Handicraft
craftsmen of pre-British days. These Rajasthani craftsmen modified the
technique of the art to suit their monotheistic tendencies and
consequently for Indian handicraft. We find in the palaces of emperors
a great deal of decorative information.
Today, general ignorance of masses about
the traditional art forms, the emergence of mechanical techniques and
absence of infrastructure have pushed many of these art forms on the
verge of extinction. It is our continuous endeavor to find out people
still practicing some of the rarest of traditional art forms. In this
effort we would continue to bring to you more products of such
handicrafts like Animal Figures, Animal Hunts, Indian Figures, Human
figures. Most of these are getting rarer by the day as very few people
are practicing these using traditional techniques, designs and colors.
